Oberhofen offers an 8 km circular cross-country ski run, which is connected with the areas of Zell am Moos and Strasswalchen so that cross-country skiing can be enjoyed across other regions too.
Mondseeberg-Hochmoor- Panorama cross-country ski run
The cross-country ski run is located on Mondseeberg at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level. Access is via the Mondseeberg road, a few parking spaces are available.
The cross-country ski run stretches over very flat meadows and through a wood before circling around Hochmoor. Degree of difficulty: Easy, Length: approx. 6 km, Nearest rest stop: Centre at Mondsee, approx. 4 km away!
Oberhofen also offers shorter tracks for cross-country skiing. Whether on Irrsberg, Koglerberg or after Sommerholz to Wallfahrtskirche, it's fun to wedel over the snow on a descent.
A mecca for cross-country skiers is the cross-country region of Nußdorf am Attersee-Oberwang, which offers runs of varying degrees of difficulty. The landscape of this beautiful region has guaranteed snow. Access to the marked tracks is from Oberwanger-Landesstraße across Grasberg-Gemeindestraße after Riedlbach and from there to the car park at Gasthaus Wienerroither.

Serious skiers have free access to 6.5 km skater cross-country ski tracks and 14 km tracks for traditional cross-country skiing. A ski tow lift is situated close by - ideal for children and beginners. This entire area is in Wasenmoos, a protected high moor landscape close to Gasthaus Mooswirt.
